Pre-ban Ruger Mini 30 value?

Looking to sell my 1987 made Ruger Mini 30 here in NY; Ive seen asking/selling prices range from $600-$1000+ for the older versions of this rifle.

What should I ask for a good shooting mini 30 with a ding or two in the wood,
(good-excellent condition)?

Around these parts they sell for $300-$600 at gunshows and gunshops.

You'll probably only get a good answer from folks who live in NY. For those of us without bans, its pre-ban status would bring not one red cent more. In ban states like NY, then you're probably looking at something more, but I have no idea how much.
