pre-68 Beretta .22 LR imports

If anyone has an old Gun Digest, or Shooters Bible from before 1968, I am trying to find out the name/model number of the little Beretta .22 LR pistols with 4 inch barrels.

IIRC, these pistols were the same size, or nearly the same size as the little Jetfire and Minx, but had the longer barrel.

Look up Model 948. I believe that is what you are looking for. Interesting enough, this model was also manufactured by Colt under the Beretta logo..had the Beretta grips, but the colt logo on the side. They also made a model 950.

There was the extended barrel Minx-the M4, but it was .22 short only.
Beretta/Colt had no manufacturing relationship that I am aware of. Colt/Astra did, for the Colt "Junior" auto.
