Can anyone give me an idea of what a NIB 1985 PolyTeck AK in 223, folding Bayonet, slant brake, with 4 mags might go for?

It all depends on what configuration the rifle is in.Is it a Legend,spike bayonet,underfolder,or sidefolder?There are so many variations.Generaly a preban Polytech in NIB condition could go for anywhere between $750-$1500.In 1985 it was probably cost less than $300.

Spike underfolder, in origional box, 3 diget serial number.
I know in 1985 you could get these for $125.00, but now they always seem to be 1500.00 when I want one. thanks for your help.

Sounds like you're looking for a Legend.They can be found for alot less than $1500,you just have to shop around.Try Gunsamerica.Pre ban Norinco's could be found for less than $700 a couple of months ago.I've seen them for less than a $1000 but I live in Kali so it was a waist of time for me to even check them out.Besides I couldn't buy a pre ban even before SB23.Here you had to own and register one back 1989.
