Here's a real doozy of an idea... :rolleyes: "Your papers please..."

A new bill proposed at the legislature would allow for police to withhold misconduct reports from the public. Supporters of the bill believe that police misconduct should be kept secret from the public so to not discredit police testimony...

I think this kind of stuff should be printed in the local paper, NOT withheld from the public.

Well, what if the officer's particular "misconduct" happens to be that he has been caught routinely lying to superiors, lying on official reports, lying about evidence, etc? Then.......HIS TESTIMONY NEEDS TO BE DISCREDITED! That right there is proof that this is a horrible law.I hope you guys manage to defaet this poo.
