Please help me price a 1991A1 Colt Commander

One of my good friends always comes to me when asking for gun advice. However, I'm not able to produce in this instance. So I need your help.

He is about to buy a Colt Commander 1991A1 in 98%+ condition with two 7 rd mags and one 6 round mag and box for $450. Is this a good deal? Are these guns generally good shooters out of the box?

I have no experience with Colt.

Six round mag? Are you sure? That sounds like a mag for an Officers model.

As far as price is concerned, that's a good price for a good gun. Like all guns sometimes you'll run across a lemon and I'd be leery buying it if it's had any garage gunsmithing done. For $450.00 though, I'd buy it.

I bought one for $500. Had tritium sites, an extended guide rod, and hogue rubber grips. I thought it was a good deal.
