About 200 lbs.?? I thank this pig is about 1 year old. Full grown they are about 300 to 500 lbs. Where I live in s e tx.. you try to get the deer to come in and pigs came in and eat the corn. But are good to eat all so.

Nice hog!

An easy way to estimate hog weight is by using the heart girth method. You take a tape measure around the chest immediately behind the front legs and find the smallest circumference you can with it touching the 'arm pits' of the hog. The tape needs to be snug. The shortcut calculation is to take the girth in inches and multiply by 10 and subtract 200. So a 38" heart girth would equate to 180 lbs. If you use the long math method, I think the estimate comes out to 181 or 182. We have checked this against a scale for countless hogs. Often, it is spot on and usually within 10 lbs. It is a better method than eyeball, lift, or drag assessments, but a properly maintained and verified scale is always going to be better.

At 200 lbs, your sow is probably fully grown.
