Well, I picked up a Stainless 4in .357 target model yesterday. Went to the range and blasted a box of ammo through it. Wow what a nice gun. This is my first Ruger Revolver and I really like it. :)

I was amazed at the accuracy of mine when I first shot it. I've replaced the stock hammer spring with a lighter Wolff spring, but no other mods. If I were you, I'd leave well enough alone until you've put 1000 rounds or so through it. What a fun 1000 rounds, too!

Good for you on the GP-100.

As much as you like it now, wait until you have a couple thousand rounds thru it.

It will be one of your best friends.

The triggers smooth out the more you shoot them. Many recommend that you dry fire them a lot to smooth out the triggers when you buy them new. That is what i did with a 3". Works.

I have the KGP-161 and it came with a very nice trigger and has only gotten better. It is accurate and likes heavier loads, all me Ruger revolvers do.
