These are excellent videos, I apologize for having posted my comments about another video set to this thread before. Added PDN to my bookmarks and will definitely be shared with coworkers.

I really appreciate the pace of presentation, no fluff or off-topic discussion. Information dense and focused on decision-making to facilitate the use of trained skills. Likewise the audio quality is top-notch. Some nice shootin' too. The "bullet reflection angles" was an outstanding demonstration of a topic too-often neglected. The Figure-8 drill, with emphasis on target recognition as a first step was also a very good treatment of the topic.

I know a few guys in the DC area who would be interested in the training, either in VA Beach or NC. How large are the typical class sizes, and what is the instructor/student ratio?

Booker,

Thanks for checking out the site.

Can you link to the video you are referencing and maybe describe your suggested alternative so that we can learn from or discuss it?

Rob, apologies. I posted that to the wrong thread. Was intended for the "Freedom Network" online videos. I'll watch these from PDN and fix my post.

Hey Booker... Thanks for clarifying that! Glad you like the PDN site...

Classes are generally 10-12 people. Student to instructor ratio is a Drill to Drill issue, not class to class. Something like the Figure 8 drill you saw at PDN has a 1:1 ratio, while our ETP drill might have a 1:30 ratio in some settings.

That said, the Va Beach class that is coming up in a couple weeks will have myself at at least two other lead instructors and I'm expecting around 10 students.

The NC courses in October might have more instructors than students, as they are taking place during our Annual CFS Instructor Conference and there will be instructors in from around the US and Europe.

Other times it is just me or other lead instructors handling a full class.

Rob do you know of any reputable instructors in the Northern California area that you would personally recommend. On a different note the first episode of the new season of S.W.A.T Magazine T.V. was awesome and am looking forward to the rest of the season.
