P7M8 Mag Release Question

Have any of you modified the mag release? I carry mine in a belly band and the mag release pokes in on me. I was thinking about taking my trusty Dremel and cutting off about 1/8 inch of the left side of the mag release then smoothing down the edges. Where can I buy an extra mag release in case I don't like the finished product?

i would worry about missing the shortened lever on a mag change, of course you could train to use the right lever and shave the left one completely flush. you can still get replacements from the factory, i'd get the replacement b4 i started shaving

mine bothered me so much that i usually revert to my psp

the only improvement i can think of would be a lighter frame, titinium perhaps?

That's why I sold my P7M8 for a PSP.

Don't touch it because you will kill its resale value. See if you can alter your holster first but not the P7!!!!!!

you're right about the effect on the resale value, but i think of my guns as tools that just need a little tweaking

if its new, trade it for a psp
if its a refurb, go for it...its already been refinished and a replacement would just be another factory part,pops right in
