P7 Question

Well, if you read my other post, you all know that I picked up a P7M13. It was slightly used, but did not come with a manual. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how to field strip it. I shot it today (it shot great), and now it is need of a cleaning. Thanks.

Easiest thing in the world. You take out the mag, clear the chamber, then pull the slide all the way to the rear and push in on the take-down button on the left-hand side, at the rear. When that's pressed in, you can tilt the back of the slide up, then ease everything forward off of the barrel. Reassembly is the exact reverse. When you're cleaning the P7 series, you want to make sure you also clean out the little gas tube and port underneath the barrel, because the P7 depends on a "gas-retarded blowback" system; if gas can't flow into that tube from the port just in front of the chamber, the pistol can open faster than it should, and batter the slide and frame. Have fun. :)
