opinions: top 5 american gun manufacturers.

Hi all. I got this email from a reader. I was wondering what your opinion was... Thanx in advance.

Folks,

Would you please be kind enough to provide me a list ( your opinion) of the top five AMERICAN guns manufacturers specializing in small arms, predicated upon performance and quality of design. I need to contact them concerning an idea I have to improve airline safety.

I wonder if he's thinking about an "airplane" gun. I think Colt already made something like that. It fired plaster bullets, I think. It was called the Colt Trooper Mark 3 "Air Crew" or similar.

A good "airplane gun" is whatever is at hand if the user is skilled with it. Same for ammo.
