Just for the heck of it.... here are two of my favorite rim fire revolvers:

...and my Older S&W 43.

Anyone else have some they'd like to share?

Here are two of my "old & older" types. The first is a S&W 3rd Model DA .38 which still works perfectly. The second's a .38 SPL S&W M&P/Victory Model/K frame which was customized by Parker Hale sometime in the late forties. It has 2 sets of proofmarks. The stag grips were my touch. It's recently graduated to "nightstand gun." It shoots like a dream. I just wish I knew how to take better photos of shiny finishes. This gun has the nicest nickeling job I ever seen, smooth and glistening, and the picture doesn't do it justice.

Photos of shiny metal objects

To photograph something shiny, I recommend avoiding the use of a flash, which causes bright reflections off the shiny surface. I use indirect lighting, a mix of natural skylight and white light bulbs. This may necessitate a slower shutter speed, a tripod and a timed shutter release to avoid vibrations and blurring of the picture. Here is an example using a fairly shiny stainless steel Kahr MK9:
