Old vs new Taurus pt99

I have a chance to buy an older preban Taurus PT99 in mint condition. It is an early 90's model. Would this gun be better (or worse) then a new PT99?? It does not have the decocker. Everyone give me pros and cons please..

I am told the 92AF's had some problems with cracked & broken locking blocks. The time frame would have been around '95. I have a PT92SS5 due to arrive any day, so I checked this Taurus out real good before making the deposit. I received about 10 very positive opinions, some shooting side by side with a Beretta 92FS. Even one of the folks that experienced a cracked locking block was pleased with Taurus' quick fix to his problem.
