OLD reloading equipment

I found this in my dads stuff who recently passed. I don't think it was his. He was a fisherman.

What is it? Value? Little to none I figured. Anyone need something like this?

That is a lead melting pot and a lead dipper/ladle. He probably used it to cast sinkers, but it can be used with proper molds to cast bullets.

Thanks!

I found SO much brass and lead in the mess. Mostly 30cal.

Is this contraction something still used? I would think not.

Chickenman,
These days most of us who cast bullets use electronic, thermostat controlled, bottom spout furnaces. MUCH better, easier, etc. than the pot and ladle shown. Today that equipment would more likely be used to cast fishing sinkers than bullets although there are probably a couple of casters around who still use pots and ladles.

I wouldn't mind having it. It would be good for ingot casting before they go in a bottom pour pot but I've spent too much recently as it is.
