Odd question-Guns vs. Eye surgery

OK, I've had BOTH lenses replaced surgically (cataracts, even though I'm not that old)...Doctor never gave me any warnings about firing heavy-recoiling guns...But I saw mention somewhere else that this could 'cause problems with my eyes...I know I could call the doctor, but I actually trust you guys more!

Has anyone experienced or heard about this?... I ask, because after several years, I started shooting again a few months back...Got some milsurps and a HD 12 guage that "kill at both ends"...Been having vision problems w/ one eye (the 1st one that was done, about 7 years ago...

I've had 8 medical procedures ( 6 retina, 2 cataract) performed on my right eye (dominant unfortunately). After I had the implant put in my eye doc advised me to limit my shooting to handguns and no high power long guns. I traded in my shotgun and SKS and my most powerful rifle right now is a 22-250. The precautions did not stop the retina from detaching again 5 years after the initial detachment.
