I started a thread in the competition heading wondering about injuries/deaths from shooting competitions, i.e. cuts, broken bones, etc. I know there was a death on a zip line at one of the shooting schools, but it was not firearm related.
I would like to know if anyone has any data or pretty good estimates of the number of rounds fired (all guns, all calibers/gages) compared to the number of deaths caused from gunfire each year, including competitions and training. I'm thinking the number of deaths and even serious injuries is pretty small compared to the number of rounds fired. Got guesses or data? Got other input/opinions? (Mods, combine the two threads if needed)
