Now that we're talking suppressors...

Now that the "taboo" subject of suppressors is being discussed on this forum, I have a couple of questions/surveys for those with FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE:

1) Who do you think makes the quietest 9mm suppressor for the 92 FS? AWC's Abraxas? Dater's Gemtech Vortex-9? Any others?

2) Which suppression technology do you prefer? Standard baffle and expansion chambers? Wipes? That funky "out of phase" sound rebound?

3) What's more important...diameter or length? No this isn't a personal question! ;)

4) Is aluminum a sturdy enough material for suppressors?

All this is only my opinion:
1. Not a clue, but check out Wilcox Ind. Jim has a neat titanium honeycomb baffling material.
2. Anything that works well, WITHOUT WIPES.
3. Both because they relate to volume, but diameter on larger calibers closer to the muzzle end. Remember the way the old Sionics suppressors were made.
4. Depends on what kind, diameter, and wall thickness, but generally I would prefer stainless steel or titanium.
