I imagine they should work, they might be just a little bit too big, so you might have to pinch them a bit so they stay on the nipples. I will say, the Remingtons are better in my experience. But if it works and its what you have, go for it.

I believe the winchester caps are made by CCI to the same specs as CCI. The CCI#11 is "smaller" than the Remington#11. The Rem#11 is merely a shorter Rem#10 and therefore fits a fatter nipple cone. My guess is the Winch#11 will fall off under recoil unless pinched out of round.

I love to find the same remington #11 caps i have but I cant find any in stock as matter fact i cant find any brand of caps online in-stock . anybody else have this issue?

Same issue not finding them online but I did just score 3 tins of Remington #11 caps at Dunham sports locally. The price was ridiculous at $7.99 per tin but not much choice if I want to shoot.

They work fine on mine. It really depends on the nipples rather than the gun though I replaced my factory ones.
The "magnum" is just a bit more compound. If it does anything it'll marginally shorten your lock time, especially with substitutes.

I have become spoiled with the new powders. I don't need a bucket of hot soapy water on standby anymore.

I hunt my deer with 45 & 54 cal Hawken rifles. If your as tired as I was. Always being on the scout for overly priced #11s. Get one of these (below) and bring that frustration over the e~lusive nipple Cap to its end.

Percussion caps

The Jedediah Starr Trading Company has plenty of percussion caps. They have Remington No 10's, 11's, CCI and Winchester.

I bought several thousand RemingtonNo. 10's... I shared them with a few friends in my area, at my cost.

Used to get my caps at Wally world the day after B/p season, they reduce the price for clearance by usually 30%, once 50%, but sadly last year there were none on clearance and it isn't looking good for this year, so I guess I'll pay retail.:(

The question of caps is always an an interesting one. Each time I acquire a new "Toy" and yeah for those of you that will troll that answer guns=weapons=not toys; to which I say What Ever!

Sorry, I digress.

Where was I? Oh yeah, caps! I find my self each time trying out what cap fits that nipple right and snug. Just putting them on at home wont give the answer. You have to fire a live round or 6 to see what hangs on during the big bang. Please don't "Squeeze or pinch your caps on the nipple. If you find yourself doing this, you indeed have the wrong size. Just because its a Pietta made 1858 Remington or 1851 Navy doesn't mean it will automatically just take a Remington #11 cap and work. Your gun may only like a CCI #10 and hate the Winchester #10. ( Unless its a Colt, it just hates everything equally. )

Summary of this rambling is this, go out and get a few different brands, try them out. Essentially play with them ( The grown up term would be to experiment, again I digress ;) )
till you find what works for your toy and then go enjoy it. By the way keep the other caps around, they come in hand for that next new "Toy" that needs experimenting to get that right fit.

Happy shooting.

of my ways.
Now I own cappers & 3 handsome handbuilt Flinters.
But I digress.
I bought 2K ech of #10 & #11 caps some years ago and regret not buying

Read these posts and went to 'Jedediah Starr Trading Company' to check on the Winchester magnum caps. WOW! Listed price is $79 per 100 caps!! Forget that. Is that a misprint or for real?
