If the Communist Bloc hadn't caved in, we wouldn't be seeing a LOT of the guns we now see. (Many of the guns we're seeing nowadays, including many WWII German guns, came out of Communist arsenals and were sold because a bunch of ex-Communists decided to make some money on long-stored weapons.)


There's not much on the horizen that is comparable to that strange mix of events.
