New wheel gun! (and a question)

{channged}Found an answer to my question -- any input???

Original post:
Hi Y'all. Picked up a Ruger Blackhawk .45 convertible yesterday -- now I have to get a set of .45LC dies and search the archives for loading threads! In the meantime, does anyone have suggestions for factory loads that approach .44 mag muzzle energies, suitable for white-tail deer hunting?

Since I posted this, made a quick trip to a local gunshop -- found some 325 grain flat-point .45LC ammo by "Buffalo Bore" company -- according to the velocity data on the box (1325 fps), that's 1265 ft-lb of muzzle energy!!! (If I got my math right!)
Anyone have any experience with this stuff?
I'll post a range report as soon as I can.
Thanks.

Speer manual #13 has a section for Ruger and TC's Only in 45 colt. The loads are pretty hot for a .45 colt
for instance 225 gr JHP 16.0 gr blue Dot 1343 mzl vel. you should look at this section there are a bunch of warnings and info on how the .45 colt case is not as strong as the .44Mag case..

Yeah, Coolray's advice is good. I have a non-convertible, and the Speer #13. Good data, good advice.
