New to the stable: Remington model 51

My latest acquisition arrived in the mail today...a clean little Remington model 51 and from what I have found, the serial seems to date it about 1927 which I believe was toward the end of production (604XX).

A disassembly and cleaning revealed a surprising lack of battering and wear and the finish is pretty decent for a 95 year old gun.

I suspect the magazine is not original, for it only has a J stamped in the floorplate and 380 cal on the side.

I ran five quick rounds through it and it fired like a champ.

I used to have one when I was collecting 32s. Nice pistol, 10 round mag, always reliable. And Jude Law was very cool and evil with one in The Road to Perdition.
