I picked up a S&W 457, compact 45 today. I've been wanting a lightweight, concealable 45 carry gun for some time. My 4516-3 is very nice, so I thought about a PC Shorty 45. After some searching and bidding on those, I realized I can't afford one at this time.
The 457 is lightweight, has a decent capacity, and feels great. It uses my 4516 leather and mags, and is as comfortable to carry as my S&W 3913.
Mine was a police confiscation, so it is cosmetically challenged. The inside looks like new, so it hasn't been shot much. I'll post how it does at the range later this week.
If it shoots as good as it feels and carries, I'll be the happy guy. I wonder why this pistol dosen't get more attention? Regards 18DAI.
