I don't have experience with any of the new ones, but given the good availability of the old models at decent prices, even good pinned & recessed guns, added to the fact that the new ones have the potentially dangerous (IMO) hammer lock, I would much prefer a good used one than the new model.
I'm on the look out for a model 15 in my area, personally. Pretty much the same gun, but with adjustable sights.
