New Ruger!

I just got back from the range with my Ruger GP 100, which I was finally able to pick up today (damn you, CA waiting laws..)

This was the first time I have shot a GP100; my only other revolver experience was shooting a Ruger Vaquero sometime last year. I prefer the GP100.

I didn't shoot too well today; anyway, I didn't hit the bulls eye much (and not at all on th uploaded picture) but at least I was consistent with my missing, so I know it's just me. Still, I think I may adjust the rear sight just a bit since most of my shots (on other targets too) were above the bullseye and therefore above the point of aim.

Target was at about 12 yards. Ammunition was Winchester .38 Special 125 Grain JSP.

My first gun was a Ruger GP100. I still have it, and there are no plans to change that.

Nice choice on your new gun. I love mine. It took me a little bit to get used to it as it was my first handgun. Lots of fun. Enjoy.
