well since about a year ago i have not had a 1911 in safe. I owned a springfield 1911-a1 GI and sold it to fund another project. Well shortly after i was missing. I have been in the 1911 market lately, no rush but had my eyes open. Well i was at a gun show today and walked out filling that 1911 space in my safe. I picked a Kimber custom target II. He said i would get a free kimber tact mag if i bought and then he gave me a friendly LE mark down. So i got the kimber with one mag and extra tact mag for $700. Thought it was a nice deal so i did it.....
