Says it all in the title. It broke near the pin where it pivots. If you go to THR you can see my post with detaild pix thier, the title of the post there is "New Colt XSE Broke after 318 rounds"

I am looking for a replacment, I suspect this a MIM part...Or a Cast part with some kind of flaw I'm looking at midway right now for a replacment. I also am looking for a regular one, the one that came on the XSE is Ambi., and I dont see the point since I am right handed.

Question is what is a good brand.... That is going to last, longer than the one that came on this thing.

The XSE safety is available from Brownells as an STI-brand part, if you want a direct replacement. I suspect it is made by Chip McCormick, as it looks too similar to the McCormick safety to be a coincidence.
The Ed Brown safety seems to be the most popular, if you like the extended thumbpiece, and it is a conventional investment casting. I like the Cylinder & Slide part.
