In order to protect our members and TFL from possible litigation, all members must abide by the following new rules:

    1. Copying and pasting entire articles from another site to TFL is strictly prohibited. The same applies to articles from print or other media, and to posting photographs taken of copyrighted pages or other media.

    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

Thank you for your cooperation and your participation in TFL, the leading online forum for firearms enthusiasts.

I was thinking... (did I hear you say"That must have hurt"?) There should be a catogory for EDGED Weapons - since the subject comes up now and again - and the knife sister forum is so huge - it is easy to get lost there.

Just a thought.

Kodiac-
Well you can't find a better place for Edged Weapons than our sister Forum, BladeForums at http://www.bladeforums.com . I know it's a large site, but we don't intend to do anything that we can't do real well. And we simply cannot do an EW site as well as Mike and Spark.

As for us, we do have Harry Humphries new forum for Alternative Force/Close Quarters Combat. Discussion of edged weapon tactics is most welcome there. In addition to Harry, you'd be surprised at the experience of some of our Members and lurkers.

While our site may be huge (I still think it's pretty small), we're actually a community. So, if you have a question to ask feel free to do so.

Just like the people here, the members and staff of BladeForums.com are all uniformly willing to answer questions regarding knifes, whether they are folders, fixed blades, your Boy Scout Swiss Army Knife, etc.

Give it a try, and see for yourself.

Spark,
Shortly after I opened my big mouth here - I went over to you playground and shoved my way into the crowd.

Now some hours later, Blade Forums is now a shortcut on my desktop right next to the firing line.

Didn't mean to step on your toes...
Rich - I officially withdraw my suggestion.

Spark,
What do I have do to win a knife over there too?

Kodiac,

Thanks for giving us a chance.

As for winning a knife, well, all you have to do is post once, and you are eligable for our monthly drawings.

From time to time we will be having contests as well, so keep your eyes peeled for these chances to win.

Basically, though, it's a quid pro quo arrangement: The more quality posts we get, the more people we attract, the more dealers and such will contribute, which means more free stuff for you guys.
