Has anyone heard about or have any personal experience with the new Benelli NOVA shotgun? It looks interesting and may find a place next to my M1 Super 90.

I am anxious to get one of these into my gun room as well.

Hopefully, I'l; be able to check one out, and order one for myself if it looks good, next week.

The Benelli Nova is a one piece plastic pump gun. Go to the following for detailed information:

Nice gun. I'm not falling over for one though. It is kinda funky looking to be honest.

I like the clear chamber/full tube feature, but I won't be ordering one soon. Anyway, the distribution guy told us this morning that he has no idea when they will be in for shipping.

I don't think I'll be getting one either. I WILL, however, be getting an M1Super90 Practical. Not Tactical, I already got one of those, but Practical. Barrel is (I think) 26 in., 9 round mag (get 'em while they're still legal), peep sight, speed load (Can do without). No vertical pistol grip due to extended mag, though. Meant for shotgun action matches.

Yeah, but it's screwed on so other chokes can be used. I think it comes with improved, modified, and full chokes. It's just short of 4 feet long.

Here's the specs on the "Practical" BBL length...............26"
overall length...........47.63"
chokes included: Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder
sights: Military ghost-ring style
magazine Capacity: 9
weight: 7.6 lbs
The "Tactical" is a varient based on the Benelli M1 action. It features an oversized safety, a speed loader, larger bolt handle, muzzle brake and an optics rail. It is designed for the IPSC events. Suggested retail according to the 1999 Benelli price list is $1,175.

hmmm, you mean are you okay with that pistol grip that you had on your pre-ban M1 benelli with an extended mag tube.. why yes, you are.

The thing with the pre/post ban is that your gun had to assembled as such (by you or the manufacturer) before the magic date in 1994.

If you did not already have the PG on your pistol, however, you could not add one today.

How the ATF would go about proving someone did not have a certain weapon in a certain condition is the real question. Obviously, if the parts used or the gun itself was manufactured AFTER the magic date, it would be foolish to alter a weapon. Otherwise, it would just be illegal (like speeding, but a felony ;)).

BlkHawk73,

Er, instead of, "The 'Tactical' is a varient based on...", I think you meant, "The 'Practical' is a varient based on...".
