I don't need one, I have two but something came up.

Sherwood Armory got with members of the 2/502th Inf, (Strike Force) 101st Abn Div. and are making a limited run of commemorative rifles/actions.

The 2/502nd Inf. was my unit in Vietnam so I couldn't pass this up.

Both my other ARs are full size, one a White Oak service rifle, one is a Colt SP1.
So I figured this one will be a shorty, 16 inch barrel I'll use in 3-gun.

Waiting for all the parts to get here so I can put it together.

Very nice. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I would build it as closely to the M16's issued to you in Vietnam, it only seems fitting.
There was a sort-of commemorative lower receiver engraved by DPMS for all of the people involved with the aircraft I worked on, while I served.

Most people that were in on the group buy wanted some sort of M4gery, and the former-crewmember FFL that handled the order built about 45 cheap "M4 clones" for the people that wanted them. (With a 300% markup on those worthless parts, and a $250 labor charge... the dirt bag.)
But, the rest of us did our own thing, or just kept them as decorations.

Me....?
I used that lower for a 7.5" 5.56 pistol. It gets more love that way. :D
