i am looking to buy a rossi cyclops. does anyone have any experence good or bad with this gun? all i know is its a heavy barrel .357 with either a 6" or 8" barrel.

Rossi is now owned by Taurus and has dropped the cyclops from the line. Read a article in American Rifleman a year ago about .357 Magnums. The cyclops was rated a distant last behind Smith & Wesson, Taurus, Colt and Ruger for accuracy. They do have a life time Warranty, but do not know who is honoring it, Braztech (I think it is called) or Taurus.

If you want a wheel gun to hunt with, buy a Taurus model 608 .357 mag with the 8 3/8" barrel. I love mine. But I moved up to the .44 mag. Taurus also makes the model 44 with an 8 3/8" bbl. I went with a Super Redhawk 9 1/2". It was only a few bucks more, and they make awsome deer guns! Slap on a good scope, and rock n roll!!
