NAA .22

I have a NAA .22 mag & lr. The rifling in it is so slight, it can hardly be seen with good light. I think that is why it works so well with snake shot. Anyone ever notice very shallow rifling in their's?

I noticed the same thing about my Ruger MKIII and Henry .22 lever action. I can pick off headshots on a target at 50 yards with the ruger pistol and knock around golfballs at 120 yards scoped with the henry so I guess thats just normal rifling for a .22. Maybe competition grade barrels have deeper rifling, I have no idea but I am sure someone else can chime in.

I think Marlin started the trend to shallow rifling with their Micro-Groove rifling.
