Yes its an SKS, a yugo in fact. somewhat modified and accurized. I get 2 MOA with surplus ammo. I'm planning to handload some ammo as soon as I can afford some cases. Left to right they are:
FN Mauser (1951) in .270, a tack driver out to 300 yd.
Savage 93-17 VBSS in .17 hmr. You can see I like really accurate rifles.
Marlin 39A (1953) a great find in the back of the office.
Mossberg 46M (1937) a great .22 target rifle.
Mauser 98K (1943) only dropped once. In Czechoslovakia.
Yugo SKS, it's weird how the paint makes the outlines fuzzy.
Mosin Nagant 91/59, I just finished turning the bolt handle down and adding the rubber butt pad.
Suzuki 1978 GS750C. old but still very fast.
Nice garand, brings back memories, I'd like to get an enfield next, or a k31. Love the BP gun I still like muzzleloaders and I shot black powder cartidge class in cowboy action shooting. My next BP will be a kentucky Flinter kit.
