Top is a Colt SP1 on an A2 Core-15 lower. Everything on it is from a SP1 except the Spec-Ops spare mag pouch of course.

Bottom left is a Colt AR-15A3 that I formed 1 and put a 11.5 inch Colt Barrel on. ARMS SIR rail, N-Cell Eotech, Pentagob LED light, Grip Pod VFG, Lone Star pistol grip, LMT SOPMOD Stock, ARMS 40L BUIS, Magpul ASAP Sling point w/ Troy Industries single point, and a Chopped Redi-Mag with Magpul BAD Lever.

Bottom right is a rebuild of the Colt AR-15A3. Bolt Group and Barrel came from the other rifle.

That shorty would be perfect with a short vertical grip or no vertical grip! I would lose the snag points and make that shorty a viable rural ops carbine!

Dont you have to be a class III dealer to have a short barrel rifle? OR are they legal in your state?

As long as you are not in a state that forbids them, any normal citizen can have a short barreled rifle as long as they fill out the proper paperwork to register the gun with the ATF, have the lower engraved with the proper information, and pay the $200 tax stamp.

Some states also have additional requirements, such as mine which requires you to also send in a form to register the gun with the state police.
