My run down GIII

Hey
I was bored tonight and thought I should take photos of my guard's GIII. Its an Iranian variant. I took couple of snaps and the gurad wanted to be in one of them so I said why not.

This is my most run down GIII since it remains on the guard duty at night time. Nothing beats a select fire battle rifle in 7.62NATO at night.

Regards,

OK, I have to ask...scope rail with no scope? What's with that? (Especially when it blocks the iron sights...)

Its just an ordinary red dot. Nothing fancy enough to waste time taking picture and upload etc.

Soon I will post my Saudi GIII and the later on a Presidential Gift GIII from POF Pakistan. Perhaps, HK 91 as well if I get going.

How popular is GIII in the US? Are there many pre 1986s floating around? How much do they cost? What was price like before 1986 compared to semiauto rifles?

I see. Do you guys miss not having select fire weapons available? What is NRA or like NRA folks doing to get that back?

right now I think the pro-gun folk are just beginning to adjust to having the upper hand and we might seem some of the lesser gun laws changed but the NFA will probably stay fubar-ed forever because their in no "practical" use and they are EVIL!!! (even my father who owns close to 100 guns says they should stay banned)

also they sell for el-de-la crap load state side

Regardless of how heavy it is taxed, the option to buy full auto should be their. I think the gun community at large should get this done.

Whatever happens in the US becomes a quoted example else where around the world. So I hope that you guys keep fighting for friendlier laws and to scrap the 1986 ban.

Food for thought.

I do not think that a full auto would ever be used in a crime that was legally acquired, I think I read that there are only a hand full of NAFA weapons that were 100% legal that where used in crimes, who is going to pay $5000 for a rifle when you can get a similar one for $300 (for a criminal that is). That is what some people dont get, putting restrictions on the law abiding citizens that use them legally.

I am going to stop now before I end up writing an essay.

Granted personally I dont really see a need for a full auto in my locker, and heck it would be expensive to keep it fed.

But a full auto 22LR I could see that being fun...

ps. because of this thread I was looking at a G3 and FAL's at Cabelas...

$650 I can get a Century Arms G111 used... I really want one... But I think I am going to get a Mosin this week to hold my bigger bullet want and cheaper ammo ($20 to fill a mag does not fly well).

What kind of accuracy are you getting out of them?

I shot a .308 for the first time last week and it was load but I did not even feel the recoil. But those slugs kinda had kick...
