On S&Ws facebook page they (S&W) said production had stopped but didn't say it was discontinued. We'll see...

I have not seen any SD series handgun in my area (central Ohio) in a while and I'd be really disappointed if S&W were to cease the SD line's production.
They seem to be a nice alternative to Walther PPS/PPQ line.

I also heard they are discontinued and it is a shame. I own an sd9 and it's a real nice handgun. What I think is they are priced too low for what it's costing them to build the gun, plus it comes with front night sight. I think their profit margin is too low and the gun costs to much to build as compaired with Sigma. It has everything that the M&P has except for the back strap changes. I like it better than the M&P.
