My "new" Ruger standard 22

I had to share this since I have a picture...

I picked this up on auction arms a while back and just received it at the dealer yesterday.

I love this thing. I can't wait to take it shooting this weekend. From the serial number is is a 1956 manufacture. It is in excellent shape. The box and manual are also in great shape. I can't believe the parts prices from 1952! You can but the frame for $10. The barrel receiver w/bolt assembly was $15!

Thanks,

I might as well update with a range report. I took it out over the weekend and put 400 rounds through it. What a blast. Very accurate just like everyone claims.

It was definitely a good buy.

My Dad gave me a Ruger Standard in "66,(I was 16). I've still got it,still shoot it every time I go any where to shoot. My friends just expect it to be there if I'm there! The group sizes have gotten bigger over the years...but its not the gun...its my eyes. Keep shooting it. I don't think you'll ever wear it out!Like Tony says..."you done good...real good"
