I have just discovered my favorite local politico, the Sheriff of Jefferson County, AL, Woodward by name. At the Alabama Gun Collectors' Association (AGCA) gun show last weekend, Jeffco had a booth next to the NRA with a banner reading (IIRC) "Application Information for Concealed Handgun Permits". It had flyers, handouts, and was manned (at the time I saw it) by uniformed deputies. This man has my vote for life. Woodward is being opposed by an former Demo
