Most of us at some point in the year come across a deal that is unheard of. I know its tsill early but I'll go ahead say I probably wont top this one. The previous owner neglected this one for a while but after the better part of 2 days I got her looking much better. Still some dings on the front of the cylinder....not sure what the previous owner was doing with it......anyways......175.00 bucks later and shes mine! Taurus 617 Titanium, 7 shot 357 Magnum, 19.9oz........dont have much use for it so it will probably be up for trade soon. Nice gun though.

Great deal! And a seven-shot, .357 Magnum, housed in a relatively light-weight, compact snub-nose frame, is an intriguing configuration for a self-defense carry revolver...

I'm not trying to be a smartypants (REALLY), but have you tried shooting it? If it works, that is one unbelievable deal!

I didnt, my brother who facilitated the transaction did before shipping it to me. Fired at least 7 with no issues :D

I thought about it but its bigger than my 605 so its too big for pocket carry. In some respects its roughly the same size as my P2000SK in 357 Sig which hold 13 rounds of so id just as soon carry that. I think it would make a perfect carry gun for someone who prefers revolvers over autos.

I was thinking the same thing. But, like you, "I'd just as soon carry" my SIG Model 226 if I thought I needed a higher capacity pistol that was too big for pocket carry but could be carried comfortably and well concealed in an iwb holster.

I'm no Taurus fan but I think you came out pretty well on that one. If you are using it as trade bait, I think you'll come out ahead too.

Yep, my primary carry guns are a 226 Elite in 357 Sig and the P2000SK I mentioned above. If weather and clothing permits I go with the 226. Summer time its generally the Hk most days.
