I can’t say with certainly what movie it was in, I would
be guessing if I said. I would have to dig to find if I have
any paper work on where I got it from for sure.
I base my “movie gun” on how it is made. It is a old Colt.
I would guess that it was a parts gun. I have not taken
it totally apart. It does have the trigger, cylinder pin, and
cylinder replaced that I know of.
The cylinder is made the way that I have seen it done on
other “ Movie guns”. It is made from a C&B cylinder.
The back end is turned down on a lathe to about half
depth of the chambers. It is cut to the center of the bolt
stop. A steel sleeve was made to fit over the back and silver
soldered on to it. The bolt stops recut and chambers drilled
out (poorly) to about .400 This may need a picture or two
to make it clear as to the cylinder and how it was made.
I am not up on the old C&B conversions and how they were
made so I could be all wet. Maybe if some of you do know,
you could set me right.

Sorry to say no. I can’t yet hold a handgun out at arms length
and I drop most things that I try to hold for long.
The good news is I can cock my pistols now, mostly anyway.
I wish it went faster but I do see some improvement every
week, so I guess that I should not complain.
I know I am lucky that I still have most of my body parts.
What is it they say, of all the things I have loss I miss my
mind the most.
