Mounting a light on a Mossy 500

I just bought a surefire forend. Its a tad expensive but the light is great and is very clean, no wires, etc.

I also bought the Surefire foreend. Expensive as mentioned but really well designed and as also mention, very clean with no extra stuff hanging off of it. It is an LED so bulb wear from recoil is not an issue. I bought the model with the on off master switch to prevent accidental battery drain. Worth the bucks i my opinion.

A cheap/easy solution is a Choate's mag. extension clamp and a Surefire G-2 light mounted on the bbl. just ahead of the bbl. lug.Put the light at 7 o'clock for a right hander or at 5 o'clock for a lefty.Forward thumb activates the tail switch.tom.:cool:
