Most Affordable 9mm 1911?

I've had an itch for a 9mm 1911 for quite some time now. I have a Star Model B in 9mm that is based on the 1911 but not quite the same and impossible to get parts for anymore. What is the best value in a 9mm 1911 out there right now? The gun that offers a good compromise between performance and cost?

I saw this one in this months Downrange TV email. It looks nice but it's still nearly $700.

I am waiting for the RIA 9mm, too.

I saw a Springfield Loaded 9mm for $900+ at local Gander Mountain. Seems ok but not as well fitted as a Kimber. Seems too expensive to have the slide rattle.
I saw a Kimber Commander 9mm - aluminum frame, blue slide - for $720 at local shop.

Or you find an Armscor that was imported pre-Rock Island. I have about $400 invested in this one...

Gunbroker would be the best place to look. They just made 30 of them this year and they are all gone. I have heard they are about to release a few more.
Last run of them was in '06.
