Those that mourned the demise of Winchester's 94 might be attracted to this new offering by Mossberg. This is their second foray into the market place of 30-30 carbines. But Mossberg's previous model of the mid-1970's failed to make large sales and was dropped after just a couple years. Perhaps this model will provide greater interest.

Obvious copy of the 94. Are the insides faithful to Brownings design.

Hardwood stock is a concern- would have preferred Walnut.

Has anyone seen or handled one of these?

Looks like they took the best features of the Marlin and combined the looks and features of the Winchester...

I'll but the..

tang safety over the "Lawyers button" of the current 336's.
but that open reciver top is a "raingutter" if nothing else.
That why I have a pre-LB 336.
and I greew up on a 1906 .22 pump, M97 shotgun & 336.
