How is the mossberg 464? The few actual reviews i.e. not gun magazines, were pretty favorable, lot of folk even seemed to like the "improvements" made to the 94 design.

I've seen them in stores and mags, and even though the tactical model looks like a pretty interesting gun, I can't say I have ever seen an actual owner. They are pretty.cool though, I could see them being good sellers where semi's arent legal(the tacticool model anyways).

Early on, Mossberg produced 464 carbines that had jamming concerns. But his has been corrected. My nephew bought one two years ago for deer hunting. We hunted together in western Maryland where he toppled a nice 6 pointer at approx. 80 yards.

30-30 is a keeper!

Yeah- why AREN'T there more discussions about them? I certainly don't see them with any regularity on the used rifle racks.

The walnut-stocked models are VERY nice little guns. The wood they use is very good for the price range this gun sits in.

I just miss the sight hood on the front. If Mossberg would add one I'd buy one.
