Mossberg ATR

I had 2 misfires in my Mossberg ATR .243. Quality Hornaday SST ammo.
Primer had a light dent. But the 1st time I ever had a misfire in the rifle.

Put the 2 misfires into my Browning, and they fired fine !!
Is there something wrong with the firing pin in the Mossberg ?

How long have you had the rifle? Have you ever taken the bolt apart and cleaned it?

There's less than 100 rounds through the rifle. So I never took apart the bolt.

But it shoots coreloks and federal blue no problem.

I would disassemble the bolt and clean the firing pin and channel. You might be surprised how much stuff can accumulate inside those little buggers

I dont think it would hurt to disassemble the bolt and clean and lube it, either that or just use what it shoots with no problems
