Mosin ID Help!!

I have had this old Mosin laying around here for a few years. I always kinda figured I knew what it was. Lately I have had different people telling me it is all sorts of different things.

I know it is Mosin-Nagent, it is 762x54, the date on the rifle is 1942. It has Russian numerals on the barrel, bolt and butt plate, all matching.

Looks like a standard Soviet arsenal Mosin Nagant M38 carbine. The only real variance is which arsenal it came from. The most common being Izhevsk (triangle with an up pointing arrow inside) and then Tula (star with an up pointing arrow inside). Handy little rifle. Don't worry about a bayonet, they never came with one.
