Any one know where I can get 9mm moon clips for a GP100 or S&W 686?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can't just shoot 9mm in a .357 cylinder. For one, there isn't room for the case rim AND the moon clip. For another, without the tapered cylinder used for 9mm you're likely to have a variety of problems including rather nasty fouling and a beat up forcing cone.

So you can't fit 9mm on a moon clip in there, and if you could the results may be rather undesireable.

My mistake. I should have said, having custom cylinder made for a GP 100 or a
S&W 686. don’t want to make custom 9mm moon clips.
Any six shot 9mm moon clips that size?

I do appreciate your responds Handy, I have a tendency to be vague some times.

Hah! Looks like we were posting at the same time, amigo.

Check out the link I posted - see if they can help you out. They're the specialists.

In the link posted you'll note that they don't offer 9mm moonclips for any gun that isn't already 9mm. They offer no 6 shot 9mm moonclips for any S&W cylinder.

This isn't a minor conversion - it is a whole new cylinder. And then where are you going to get the moon clips to feed it?

You'd be far better off finding a 9mm Security Six, a S&W 547 or a Medusa than trying to get a .357 revolver to accept tapered, short 9mm cases.
