Sure. If you can get free airtime on any network news you want by calling up and demanding it, this legislation makes a lot more sense. Especially if your opponents have three or four million people dedicated enough to sacrifice time and money to do it the hard way and you'd be lucky to scrape up half a million even when most don't pay dues.
