Missing the opener

Here it is, November 15th at 9:45AM in Michigan, and I'm at work. The annual firearms deer season is upon us, and I won't get out until tomorrow afternoon.

How many others are in the same predicament?

Yep, missed the morning too. The rest of the week looks OK. Conflicting schedules and half-day at school for the kiddies and all that. That's OK though, were I hunt is private property so it shouldn't be run over that bad today.

Yep...Im at work too! I plan on sneaking out about 3pm to head north. I got a last minute invite to a camp in St. Helen. So I scrambled up all of my gear, some food, and loaded the truck last night.

Second day of gun season is just as good as the first. Any way you slice it, the northern woods is the place to be. First day, second day, any day
