mini 14

Does anyone know how to remove the wooden stock from a Ruger mini-14? I removed the wooden hand guard and the screws on both sides of the stock but cannot remove the stock from the barreled action. Appears to be hung up at the magazine well.

You must remove the triggerguard and trigger pack from the bottom of the rifle, just like a Garand/M1A. The trigger guard is hinged and pivoting it will release it from the action.
