Midway / Stoner 80%: is this a deal?

I've used that upper and the buttstock on carbines and they seem to work fine. Only flaw I found was the FSB was canted slightly to the left. Couldn't tell till sighting in.

I don't see much need to finish an 80% lower and would probably stash it or sell it and use an Anderson. If you want the rifle "off the books" so to speak though...

I'd say it's a good deal but I haven't priced comparable (non-Operator level) factory rifles lately either. May be pretty close.

I've been thinking about one of the Stoner side charging upper packages but don't know if there are any negatives to them.

I'd agree, it's a good deal because you can get an Anderson lower real cheap now.
If you don't have the tools to finish it already, then it's really not a deal.

Thanks guys. I'll pass as it might be good but there are some good ones for $50-100 more from Ruger et al.
